1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, yet Utah has one of the lowest mammography rates in the nation. Obviously, telling women to get a mammogram isn’t working.

But...tell a woman to ‘Feel ‘Em Up’ and well, you really grab some attention.

It’s a fact that the majority of breast cancer found in younger women, under the age of 40, is first detected by themselves or their partner. When encouraging early breast cancer detection, ‘Feel ’Em Up’ takes on a whole new meaning - one that could literally save a life.

Since 2011 the Feel 'Em Up Cup has been 'grabbing' attention from local media, radio stations, support groups and more. Our message is simple - young women can and do get breast cancer. The more women and their partners know the signs of breast cancer and what to 'feel' for, the more likely they are to find cancer in early stages.

2012 tournament proceeds will fund our annual Survivor Celebration Shindig -- a fun-filled event where survivors and a caregiver are invited to spend a night 'away from the cancer world' and enjoy entertainment and socializing. To date, over 400 survivors and caregivers have participated - free of charge - thanks to amazing sponsors.
